Panelr

Switching from WHMCS? Bring your customers with you.

Connect your panels, connect WHMCS, and Panelr matches every customer to the line your panel already has. Nobody has to sign up again.

How it works

Panelr only reads WHMCS. You see exactly what will come over, and nothing is written until you press Import.

The step-by-step guide

  1. Connect every panel WHMCS bills for, and sync it. Your lines arrive with their plans.
  2. In WHMCS, make an API credential that can read clients, services, products and sign-in passwords.
  3. Connect WHMCS. Panelr shows how many customers and services it found, and the plan each WHMCS product lands on.
  4. Press Import. Add another panel later and run it again. Only the new lines come over.

What comes over

Your panels decide which lines exist. WHMCS tells Panelr who each one belongs to.

Comes over

  • Every WHMCS client who has a line on a connected panel, as a Panelr customer
  • Their lines, matched by the panel line id WHMCS kept, or by the line's login
  • Their WHMCS sign-in password, wherever WHMCS still provides it
  • Lines of canceled and terminated services that the panel still has
  • Your WHMCS prices, on any plan you tick

Stays where it is

  • Clients with no line on a connected panel yet. They come over when you connect that panel and run it again.
  • Services your panels no longer have. Panelr matches lines, it never makes them from WHMCS.
  • WHMCS itself. Nothing in it changes.

Two ways to connect

Both read the same things from WHMCS and end on the same review screen in Panelr.

Straight to WHMCS

Enter your WHMCS address and API credential in Panelr. Add your Panelr server to the API IP access list in WHMCS and Panelr reads everything itself.

From the Chrome extension

If your Panelr server can't reach WHMCS, the Panelr Chrome extension makes the same read from your own computer and saves it as a file. Upload the file in Panelr and carry on.

Questions people ask

Do my customers need new passwords?

Not where WHMCS still provides their sign-in password. Those customers sign in to Panelr with the password they already use. For the rest, Panelr can email a link to choose one, and you decide whether it sends.

What if my Panelr server can't reach WHMCS?

Use the Panelr Chrome extension in WHMCS mode. It reads WHMCS from your own computer and saves a file, and you upload that file in Panelr instead.

WHMCS bills for two panels. Do I import twice?

Connect and sync both panels first and one import covers both. Or connect one, import, then connect the next and run it again. Each run only adds what's new.

Will it create duplicate customers?

No. A WHMCS client with several services becomes one customer, and a customer already in Panelr keeps their account and gets their lines attached. Running the import again never duplicates anyone.

Does Panelr change anything in WHMCS?

No. Panelr only reads from WHMCS, so you can keep it running until you're ready to switch over.
