If you bill through WHMCS today, Panelr can bring your customers over. It reads WHMCS, matches each WHMCS service to the line your panel already has, and creates a customer for each client who has one. Panelr only reads from WHMCS, and nothing is written until you press Import.
Before you start
- Connect every panel WHMCS bills for, then press Sync Now on each. Your lines arrive with their plans: Add a service.
- In WHMCS, open System Settings → API Credentials and make a credential that allows four reads:
GetClients,GetClientsProducts,GetProductsandGetClientPassword. - In WHMCS, open System Settings → General Settings → Security and add your Panelr server to API IP Access Restriction. The Migrate from WHMCS page shows your server's address.
Connect and import
- In Panelr, open Settings → Panel Plugin and press Migrate from WHMCS on the Connected services card.
- Enter your WHMCS address, the credential's Identifier and Secret, and press Connect and read WHMCS.
- Check the review: how many WHMCS customers and services were found, how many keep their WHMCS sign-in password, and the plan each WHMCS product's lines are on. Tick Use the WHMCS price on a row to give that plan its WHMCS price.
- Press Import.
The result shows what came over, with See the lines and See the customers.
What comes over
- A customer for each WHMCS client who has a line on a connected panel. A client with several services becomes one customer.
- Their lines, matched by the panel line id WHMCS kept, or by the line's login. The lines stay exactly as the panel has them.
- Their WHMCS sign-in password, wherever WHMCS still provides it, so they sign in with the password they already use.
- Lines of canceled and terminated services that the panel still has. This is on by default; switch it off to leave them out.
A customer whose email is already in Panelr keeps their account and gets their lines attached. Running the import again never duplicates anyone.
What stays behind
- WHMCS services with no line on a connected panel. Panelr never makes lines from WHMCS; it lists these as not on any connected panel.
- WHMCS clients with no line yet. They're counted as waiting, and come over when you connect their panel and run the import again.
Customers without a WHMCS sign-in password
Some WHMCS versions don't hand out sign-in passwords. Switch on Email new customers who came without a WHMCS sign-in password a link to choose one and Panelr emails them a link. It's off by default, so nobody is emailed unless you choose to.
Two panels or more
Connect and sync every panel first and one import covers them all. Or go panel by panel: connect one, import, connect the next, and run it again. Each run only adds the newly synced panel's lines.
If your server can't reach WHMCS
Use the Panelr Chrome extension in WHMCS mode. It makes the same read from your own computer and saves a file. On the Migrate from WHMCS page, go to Or use a file from the Chrome extension, choose the file and press Read the file. The review and the import are the same.
