Check your server

Panelr runs on your own web server. Check it first.

What it needs

  • PHP 8.1, 8.2 or 8.3 with the ionCube Loader.
  • The PHP extensions PDO MySQL, cURL, Multibyte String, GD, ZIP and OpenSSL.
  • MariaDB 10.3 or newer, and a database user that can create tables.
  • nginx, Apache or LiteSpeed, and a domain with HTTPS. A subfolder like yourdomain.com/store works too.
  • Access to the server's scheduled tasks (cron).
  • Outbound HTTPS to cloud.panelr.app, for your licence and updates.

Run the pre-flight check

  1. Download the pre-flight check from panelr.app and upload it to the folder where Panelr will live.
  2. Open it in your browser. Enter your database details at the bottom to test the database too.
  3. Fix anything marked failed and reload until every required check passes.
  4. Delete the file from your server afterwards.

Have these ready for the installer: your licence key (in your welcome email and on cloud.panelr.app), the domain it was bought for, your database details, and the name and email for your admin login.
